Teaching Artist
Greg has spent the last three years as an instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and as a private coach and mentor. He has taught acting courses starting at Introduction to Acting for non-majors all the way up to Advanced Acting for majors, as well as Theatre Appreciation courses. He has coached privately for undergraduate theatre program auditions, URTA auditions, and film auditions. Greg also specializes in Shakespeare and helping actors find easy, actionable, relatable, and physical ways into Shakespearean verse.
Greg's pedagogy combines his years of experience and training in multiple disciplines. He has trained with Master Teachers in Stanislavski and Chekhov at the Moscow Art Theatre, studied Meisner Technique and repetition at MeisnerLA in Los Angeles, and spent three years in residency studying under Michael Lugering in the Expressive Actor method. Through a combination of all of these techniques, Greg encourages his students to expand their instrument in order to explore all of their available choices while remaining solidly grounded in the text. He believes in working quickly, efficiently, and practically to get to the heart of the script and character.
